Position: Shuttle Driver/Adventure Coordinator

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, adventure, and education to adventurers of all levels.
We are looking for a responsible, friendly, and safety-conscious Shuttle Driver/Adventure Coordinator to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for driving our shuttle to transport guests to and from launch points while assisting with loading and unloading equipment, providing safety briefings, and offering educational information about the state forest.
As a Shuttle Driver/Adventure Coordinator, you'll not only be an essential part of our transportation team but also a vital member of our operations team, helping to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for every guest.
$25 with the potential for tips.
- Drive the Shuttle: Safely transport guests to and from pick-up/drop-off locations within the state forest, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant ride.
- Loading and Unloading Equipment: Assist with loading and unloading kayaks, paddles, and other gear to and from the shuttle.
- Safety Briefings: Provide safety talks to guests before each adventure, ensuring they are informed of proper paddling techniques, safety precautions, and other important information.
- Educational Talks: Share interesting and informative details about Wharton State Forest, wildlife, and history of the surrounding area during shuttle rides.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answer guest questions, and ensure all interactions are positive and professional.
- Assist with Other Operations: Support team members in other operational tasks when needed.
- Must have a CDL Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive a shuttle comfortably and safely, with knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Ability to back up and maneuver an equipment trailer.
- A passion for the outdoors and helping others enjoy nature.
- Ability to lift and move outdoor equipment (kayaks, paddles, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with giving safety briefings and public speaking.
- Previous experience in driving or working with outdoor activities is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions and be available on weekends and holidays during peak season.
